I was leaving Wal Mart and was stopped at a traffic light. There was a man who I would say was in his mid-40s sitting on the curb with a sign.
"Homeless. Jobless. Hungry."
I could tell he was someone who had the luck of drawing the shortest straw and did not deserve to be out in the cold, without food or shelter.
All I had on me was two dollars that I would have spent on something which wasn't needed in order to live. So I decided to give him the money and gave him my wishes that everything will get better for him.
From the look on his face and tone of his voice, there was sincere appreciation. It really made an impression on me.
So what did I receive from giving this man the money?
I would say I received a great amount of insight. It allowed me to be truly happy with what I have and appreciate everything that surrounds me.
I may never see you again, and you will most likely never read this but I wanted to thank you for what you gave me. It is far worth more than two dollars...its priceless.
Life and Love.
