NJ Summary

I have returned home to visit New Jersey from May 1st-May 17th.

It has been exactly one year since I moved to North Carolina.

Few days remain until I go back to Charlotte, so I have already begun reflecting on the trip.

Since I have been in Jersey, I have spent time with the people who make me who I am, sawsome who I have not seen in a long, long time and met others that hopefully will develop into a new friendship!

Being away from what Ive been around for my entire life has given me a completely new perspective on many different subjects. Mainly what it means to be home and to have genuine friends.

I was very fortunate to see my closest friends multiple times and really got to refresh/reconnect what has become a gap this past year. Not having the ability to see those who mean the most on a daily basis has allowed me to appreciate the time I have with them on a whole new level. It was such a comforting feeling to surround myself again with incredibly caring, intelligent, funny and all around sincere people. Whether we were doing something as simple as sitting in the car talking or with a group of people having a get together--it meant the world to me.

If you are reading this and we have spent time together the past two weeks; I would like to whole-heartedly thank you for being a true friend and helping me grow through this entire experience. I love you for who you are and value you as a person more than you could ever image. You are all people I would like to know for the rest of my life.

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
