I knew exactly what you meant when I heard those words came out of your mouth.

The past couple of years have been rough for the both of us.
I know times have changed many things but that will never take a best friend away from me.

I just want you to know that I wasn't running away from home or all that I knew.
I was just doing what I needed to in order to get my life on a more stable ground.

We may not be able to live life like it used to be, but we can always look back on all the good memories and create new ones as well.

You say you are going to become a better person and clean up your act.
Well, this is not the first time I have heard this from you.
